Accessibility means that the website is built so that people with different abilities can read and use it. This page sets out the approach and the measures already in place.
Pages use headings in order, landmarks for navigation, and a consistent layout across the site. Every meaningful image carries alt text that describes the visible subject. Text and background colours are chosen for legible contrast at normal reading size. Menus, links and forms are reachable and usable with a keyboard alone.
Some areas of the site need further work. Where a gap is identified, WATAG records it and addresses it. Two areas currently being worked on are the labelling of form fields on the newsletter subscription form and the ordering of tab focus on long category pages.
Where a visitor meets an accessibility problem, the issue can be reported to info@watag.com.ng. Reports are answered.
Accessibility problems can be reported to info@watag.com.ng. A report helps WATAG make the site easier to use. Include the page address, what did not work, and the browser or assistive technology in use. A reply states what was done.
The site is built with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium, at the AA level. Full conformance is not claimed. Work continues on the areas listed as gaps above.
